How BirdHub (birdhub.lk) collects, uses, and protects your personal data.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, phone, and password (stored only as a hash).
- Order details: delivery address, items, totals, and delivery notes.
- Support messages, reviews, and testimonials you choose to send us.
- Technical data needed to run the store: cart session identifier, device and browser information, and basic usage logs.
Payment data
Payments on birdhub.lk are processed by CurveUp FZ-LLC, Dubai, UAE. Card details are entered on Stripe’s hosted checkout and are handled by Stripe under its own privacy notice — BirdHub never receives or stores your full card number. We keep only the payment status, amount, and reference needed to fulfil and refund your order.
How we use it
To process and deliver orders, take payment and issue refunds, answer support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, meet accounting and legal obligations, and — only if you opt in — send marketing email you can unsubscribe from at any time.
Who we share it with
We share only what each partner needs: Stripe for card payments, our delivery partners for your shipping address and phone number, our email provider for order and account notifications, and our cloud hosting and storage providers. We do not sell your personal data. Some of these providers process data outside Sri Lanka.
Retention and security
Order records are kept as long as needed for warranty, returns, tax, and accounting purposes. Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and administrative access to customer data is restricted and logged.
Your choices
You can view and edit your profile, addresses, and notification settings from your account, and you can ask us to correct or delete your data or send you a copy of it. Some records must be retained where the law requires it. To make a request, use the contact page.
Cookies and changes
We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and measure basic site usage. Blocking them may break checkout. We may update this policy; the version published here is the one that applies.
